We all know that the camera inside most smartphones is capable of producing video content of almost professional quality. In all iPhones (and Android) the front facing camera (pointing away from you) is usually of significantly greater quality than the lens on the same side as the main screen.
When we are self-filming, quite naturally we want to see the screen to know that we are in-frame, well lit, and look out best – which of course means using the lesser quality camera to do so.
Here I demonstrate how you can not only remote control your highest quality iPhone camera mounted on a tripod across the room, but also see exactly what the camarea sees in real-time, by using your Apple Watch.
There are a multitude of creative uses for this functionality, and I’ll leave that up to your imagination.
